2. Open a Sanvic buffered salt packet, pour the salt into a small cup with some warm water, and stir until the salt dissolves.
3. Fill 500cc container with the above salt water and additional warm water, so finally it is approximately 35°C-38°C or 95°F-101°F.
4. Slide the rim of the irrigator tip onto the groove of the irrigator handle until it locks in place. Do not twist the irrigator tip.
5. Slide up the “Pause” button on the irrigator handle to enable water flow (if slide down the “Pause” button, water flow will be disabled).
6. Press and hold the control button to adjust the water pressure (the signal light will move from right to left). Release the button once the light has reached the desired water pressure. (Fig.02)
7. Press and release the control button quickly to activate the irrigation. (Repeat this step again will deactivate the irrigation).
8. Check the temperature of the water with your hand and wait until warm water flows out.
9. Slide down the “Pause” button to temporarily stop the water flow OR press and release the control button quickly to deactivate the irrigation.
10. Firmly place the end of the nasal irrigator tip into one nostril.
11. Bend your head down and breathe through your mouth. To start, slide up the “Pause” button to resume water flow OR turn the irrigation back on (refer to step 7).
12. The salt water will enter from the pressed nostril and leave from the other nostril (for children, water enters and leaves from the same nostril).
13. When the water container is half empty, adjust the “Pause” button to pause water flow. Repeat steps 10-11 for the other nostril.
14. When the water container is empty, remove the irrigator tip from your nostril first, and then turn off the machine.
15. Gently clean the leftover salt water from your nose with tissue. Avoid blowing your nose too hard.
16. Pour 500cc of clean, warm water into the water container (do not use hot water). Turn the machine on to rinse out the leftover salt water in the machine.
17. Clean the irrigator tip with water (or soap) and store it in the storage box. For safety reason, unplug the unit from the outlet when not in use.
